Mission Statement

Social Justice Australia is an independent, evidence-based Australian publication focused on public policy, economic justice, and democratic accountability. Its purpose is to help citizens understand how political and economic decisions shape everyday life.

The site publishes two core formats:

  • News and Policy Developments: factual reporting on government decisions and legislative changes.

  • Analysis: examination of policy implications using publicly available data, institutional records, and academic research.

About the Editor

Denis Hay is an Australian writer and publisher focused on public policy and social justice. With more than six decades of lived experience observing Australian political and economic change, he brings long-term historical perspective to contemporary policy debates.

Editorial Standards

Social Justice Australia is committed to:

  • Using verifiable, publicly available sources.

  • Prioritising data from institutions such as the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, Parliamentary Library, and Productivity Commission.

  • Distinguishing clearly between reporting and analysis.

  • Correcting errors transparently in line with the Corrections Policy.

Independence and Funding

Social Justice Australia is independently operated. It does not receive corporate sponsorship or political funding and is supported by readers.
